Giving Back to the local community
Philanthropy is at the heart of what we do. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Mahaba Tours is focused on raising the quality of life of families currently living below the poverty line in rural Tanzania.
We have partnered with Rhea Foundation a humanitarian-aid NGO (Non-governmental Organization) that operates in rural Tanzania by funding the drilling of boreholes and the creation of water wells for communities currently living in drought. Our support further extends to boosting the Foundation's educational initiatives by assisting them in the building of additional classrooms so students have more facilities to attend and gain knowledge so they can complete their school studies and graduate so they find employment in the future and be able to break the vicious cycle of poverty they are currently in.
The education vision of Mahaba Tours is to provide holistic economic and academic support to students living below the poverty line in rural Tanzania. We focus on supporting students who have the academic abilities and mindsets but do not have the economic means to leverage education as a catalyst.
We support Rhea Foundation in their construction of schools in rural villages so more children can have access to basic education and we promote the funding of additional school stationary and books for impoverished communities.
Our educational scholarships have a primary emphasis on tertiary education (post high school) so that charismatic young people are empowered to chase their dreams and create a thriving future for themselves and their community.
